Subcamp 3 Program Staff

The program staff welcomes the Scouts and Leaders who are assigned to Camp Niagara for the 2010 National Jamboree. I would like to introduce you to the Scouters who will be serving you in the program area. They are:

Peter Baker

Peter Baker
  • Peter is a member of the Fiver Rivers Council in Elmira, NY
  • His serves as a Senior District Executive in his council
  • He is a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, TKaen DoD Lodge
  • He has completed Wood Badge, serving as both a staff member and a Course Director and is a member of the Owl Patrol.
  • He holds Scouters Key, Commissioner Key and Arrowhead and the St. George Medal from the Episcopal Church.
  • Peter has been involved in Scouting both as an youth and an adult for 50 years
  • This will be Peter’s first experience as a staff member for at the National Jamboree

Gene Bavis

Gene Bavis
  • Gene is a member of the Seneca Waterways Council in Rochester, NY
  • He serves as the Vice President for Program
  • His is a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, Tschipey Achtu Lodge
  • Gene has completed Wood Badge and has served on staff for two courses. He is a member of the Fox Patrol.
  • Gene has received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver for his service to Scouting.
  • Gene has been involved in Scouting for over 30 years.
  • This will be Gene’s fifth Jamboree experience

Peter Demlein

Peter Demlein
  • Peter is a member of the Longhouse Council in Syracuse, NY
  • He serves as a District Committee member and is the Council Contingent Coordinator.
  • He is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Lowanne Lodge
  • Peter has completed Wood Badge and has served on many courses as staff and course director. He is a member of the Eagle Patrol.
  • Peter has received Scouters Key, District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, Bronze Pelican and the St George awards.
  • Peter has been involved in Scouting for over 32 years
  • This will be Peter’s second Jamboree experience

Jim Griffin

Jim Griffin
  • Jim is a member of the Five Rivers Council in Elmira, NY
  • He serves on the Executive Board for the council
  • He is a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, TKaen DoD Lodge
  • He has completed Wood Badge, serving as both a staff member and a Course Director and is a member of the Beaver Patrol.
  • Jim has received the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver and the OA Founders Award
  • This will be Jim’s fifth Jamboree experience

Vic Lonsberry

Vic Lonsberry
  • Vic is a member of the Seneca Waterways Council in Rochester, NY
  • He serves on the Advisory Board for the council
  • His is a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, Tschipey Achtu Lodge
  • He has completed Wood Badge and has served as both a staff member and course director and is a member of the Fox Patrol
  • Vic has received the Scouters Key, District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver and the Silver Antelope
  • This will be Vic’s sixth Jamboree experience

Jeff McKinney

Jeff McKinney
  • Jeff is a member of the Baden Powell Council in Binghamton, NY
  • He serves as the Council Commissioner
  • He is a Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow, Otahnagon Lodge
  • He has completed Wood Badge and has served as both a staff member and Course Director and is a member of the Bobwhite Patrol
  • Jeff has received District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver.
  • This will be Jeff’s fifth Jamboree experience

Colin Ringleib

Colin Ringleib
  • Colin is a member of the Westchester Putnam Council in Hawthorne, NY
  • He serves as Vice President for District Operations.
  • He is a Brotherhood Member in the Order of the Arrow, Ktemaque Lodge
  • Colin is currently “working his ticket” for Wood Badge and is a member of the Fox Patrol
  • Colin is a recipient of the Silver Beaver
  • This will be Colin’s first Jamboree experience
